Jane E. Bremer, Esq. Prior to starting Bremer Law, Jane served as a shareholder and chaired the Telecommunications Practice Group at the law firm of Larkin, Hoffman, Daly & Lindgren, Ltd. Throughout her nearly 30-year career, Jane also has served as: the executive vice president of government affairs for consulting company Solutions, Inc.; the director of telecommunications for the City of Minneapolis; the director of government and community relations at Storer Cable Communications; and as a legislative lobbyist and trade association manager for various clients. Jane earned her Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minn. and completed her Bachelor of Science degree cum laude at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla. Carol Wold Sindt Carol Wold Sindt is Chief Operating Officer of Bremer Law, P.C. and is responsible for delivering client services along with managing the firm’s everyday operations. She is an expert strategic counselor to the communications industry and has more than 25 years of experience in cable, fiber and telephone development and operations. Before joining Bremer Law, Carol worked in the telecommunications law department of Larkin, Hoffman, Daly & Lindgren, Ltd. Carol completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Minnesota. She is a former member of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan Council, District 15, where she served on the Economic Development Committee and Management Committee. She has also served as a member of the Democratic National Committee. Stephen R. Ross Stephen R. Ross is a telecommunications consultant at Bremer Law, P.C. His nearly 40 years of experience in all aspects of federal, state, and local legislation and regulation contribute an unparalleled expertise in telecommunications law and regulation. Prior to joining Bremer Law, Stephen served as senior vice president and general counsel of Altrio Communications, a broadband services provider in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Previously, he served as: partner and managing partner of the Washington, D.C. office of Ross & Hardies; a partner at Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth, the oldest communications firm in the United States; and various other positions. Stephen was chief cable television regulator at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington, D.C., where he was one of the architects of the FCC’s fundamental federal/state/local regulatory framework and set all regulation of cable television from 1982-1988. He has represented national communications leaders before the FCC; the U.S. Department of Commerce; the Copyright Office of the Library of Congress; the Senate and House of Representatives; and the Executive Office of the President of the United States. Stephen earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Boston University’s School of Law and completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. He is admitted to the bar in Massachusetts, Maryland and the District of Columbia, and his court admissions include the United States Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals, D.C. Circuit. While with the FCC, Stephen spoke at international, national and state conventions and authored numerous articles, including several Federal Communications Law Review articles published by UCLA and the University of Indiana law schools.
